Join me and Emma Weisfeld-Adams of Beautiful Life, Beautiful Death at Rooted Heart Yoga & Wellness, on Friday, November 1 at 6:30pm for our next collaboration!
In this yoga & meditation experience, you'll be guided to intimately connect with your body, nature & your personal relationship to death.
Savasana, the 'corpse pose,' is one of the oldest asanas in yogic tradition. It's the final pose of nearly every yoga sequence, but its original purpose - to contemplate death and dying - is usually ignored.
In this immersive, dynamic yoga flow and guided meditation experience, we'll tap into the deeper meaning of Savasana.
Death is inevitable. It's the one thing you know for certain is in your future. It can be scary to think about but taking time to sit with death is a gateway to a more juicy and meaningful existence.
Dragging death out of the shadows and looking at it in the light is like exposure therapy. It softens whatever fears you have, consciously or not, and allows you to live with more ease, presence, and gratitude. It helps you see what's really important to you. And it orients you towards experiencing the preciousness and beauty in each moment of your life.
This class will include a dynamic vinyasa yoga flow, centered around the theme of embodiment, and two guided meditation practices that invite you to contemplate death.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi or brand-new to the practice, you will be welcomed with the warmest of arms. So grab your mat and join us on November 1st for Friday Night Death Yoga!
